Local Channel dropped Superbowl Coverage, where’s my refund?
A group of us were all watching the Superbowl last night, when mid way through the 1st quarter, the picture froze on the screen. All the other channels worked, so I called the cable company. After a 1/2 hour on hold, I was told that it wasn’t the cable company’s fault, it was a problem with the local FOX affiliate. While the game did come back on with 4 minutes left to go in the game. My cable company said they wouldn’t offer refunds or credits because the problem “wasn’t on their end.” I’m sorry, but I pay them $1,000 a year to watch HD cable, and if I can’t watch the Superbowl, I expect a refund. Since Suddenlink pays the local affiliate for the broadcast, I’m sure they’ll ask for a refund, get it, and keep everyone’s subscription fees. I’ve registered a complaint with the FCC, but what else should I do???
